Good Sunday morning, Lonewolf, cleokaya, Dry, sugie, Citizen GROG!, x_Tech, JP Steve, noicantspell Hallford, nighthawks, sillykit and CDers everywhere!
@ Dry Thanks for asking about me, Dry. I was laid up the last couple of days with very nagging back/pinched nerve thing: heating pad in bed with pain killers. I couldn’t stand the thought of sitting at my desk looking the computer. I’m on the mend now, though, and…have heating pad, will travel! Now…….where’s puppybreath???? She must be romping around the ranch with Ralph and Agnes (or maybe she’s in bed with the ol’ heatin’ pad after too much rompin’!). Just hope she’s OK, really.
DRY thanks for noticing I wasn’t around yesterday. Take a look at Fed Basset and you’ll know how I felt. I was out of town, actually about an hour’s drive from home, helping a slightly “mentally disadvantaged” fellow, about 59 years old, with a bunch of things that he needed to get done on his place but hasn’t the ability to do them.
If I didn’t help him out he wouldn’t be able to stay in his own property and on his own. His dad used to live with him and take care of those things but he passed away about four years ago and my friend’s extended family decided he was too much trouble and wanted to put him in a “home” . That would have destroyed him! So I took over watching over him and taking care of his problems and needs and keeping him out of trouble. Actually I was the Realtor who sold them the property in the first place and I have been involved with them, “him”, ever since.
Ralph and Agnes went with me and had a great time playing with his big dog that I got for him from the pound about a year and a half ago after his Chow cross died. They had a really fun time chasing each other all over the yard and even through the house at times.
Happy Sunday to Dry, StelBel, Citizen Grog, Sugie, Cleokaya, noicant, Plods, Nighthawks, JP Steve, x_Tech, Lonewolf and everybody in the whole Citizen Dog Family.
Howdy to you 2 and JP Steve, noicant, x-Tech (good comment by the way!), and all the CD’ers waiting to see just who this little fellow is. Will Bruno adopt him? Inquiring minds want to know!
Yesterday, while running errands, we decided to go to the animal shelter to see what dogs they currently had for adoption. Fortunately, they only had six, but none were just right for us. Of course you feel like taking them all home.
(((((StelBel))))), Hey! Good Buddy…Boy! do I know how a bad back hurts and it can really put you down until it decides to “back off”, (a little humor there)! I’m so happy for you knowing you are on the mend and getting better.
Oh my, so many compliments. Thank you for your kind thoughts and comments. But really, there are a whole lot of people who do so much more than I do and most don’t get recognized for their efforts because they just do what they do as a matter of course, because it’s who they are.
I get involved in things because I just can’t turn my back and walk away when I see a real need. I just can’t let it go without at least trying to do something about it. For that I can thank my parents who were always generous and loving and forgiving with everyone. By the way, my husband of 30 years too. How blessed I have been to have been loved by all of them. And, Oh, How I miss them all!
