Never figured Kevin Costner for a dog person. Cleo, you do not look all that comfortable with the wind in your tu-tu. Your makeup is of course, fabulous, though I cannot find the right word for your eye shadow. At least not that I can say in the presence of He Who Must Be Protected From Certain Words Beginning With the Letter P.

    Hi, everybody… I made it!

Didn’t want to miss today’s comments on StelBel’s great poster

in the Mar 14th  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    Take a look on Sherpa:

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

Oooh…. “Dances with Bassets” is a great movie… one of those rare basset/human co-productions….

very realistic in its portrayal of Basset culture, which is so often misunderstood.

Cleo is perfect for Two-Ballet-Socks, isn’t she.

Gets that audience empathy thing going the moment they see her.

    And Kevin Costner. Wow.

Who thought she’d ever star opposite Kevin Costner?

Too bad she couldn’t have been the one to marry him in this film….

But Howlywood and Hollywood are both scared to break the “rules.”

They just had to put a human woman in the story for him to marry….

and a beautiful one, even if she was raised by bassets and mostly spoke in barks.

In spite of his great love for Two-Ballet-Socks, he just couldn’t break convention by marrying a basset, could he…

so of course he married “Throws-a-Stick”.

Oh well… at least when Two-Ballet-Shoes runs after him, they don’t shoot her.

I was worried, cos I’d heard something about a human version, with a wolf….

Which I can’t imagine anyway, cos wolves don’t dance.

BTW… for some reason my internet is working again (knock wood).

I called my ISP/phone co and they said they hadn’t done anything, and the tech is still coming tomorrow.

I’m picturing it’ll be like when you take the kid to the doctor, and he’s suddenly fine… but tomorrow he’s sick again.

Oh great! Now I can’t “like” this comment. You’d better have your tech look into that as well.

Didn’t want to forget to say

    Happy Pi Day, Everybody!

    In honor of which… let’s meet at my bakery… we’ll have a little pi… or a lot of pi… and coffee… or tea….

and maybe a sandwich or two?

I don’t want to take credit for this one —

somebody did such a beautiful job….

    Cherry Pi

    http://images.mentalfloss.com/sites/default/files/1024hertzgamma.jpg

But everybody knows that pi are square.

    Meanwhile…

Looks like Ted, above, is cruising for a banning.

Maybe not from GoComics…. but possibly from Ballard Street.

Being banned is right in style around here, though.

Dennis… to add to the list…MaBrndt wrote to me that he’s been banned now too.

Rotifer… hope you saw my reply to you yesterday.

    This is all getting weird.

    Montana Lady

    Hope all is well.

X…. I think Farside may (sniffle) have meant my comment….

    and possibly a different “Tech.”

    Then again…. sigh…. maybe not.

I was in Normandy when this poster was first posted by @StillTheBelle (aka movie poster poster) and didn’t comment because I was busy driving from place to place wondering what is was like there on 6-6-44 so I don’t have a recycled comment to copy, paste and repost.

P.S. If this wasn’t such a high class joint I’d make some off color comment about @StillTheBelle aka movie poster poster’s posterior but since this is I won’t.

I love this poster Stel. Everything about it is super!!!! Especially our sweet Cleo! How absolutely precious she looks, especially with her pinkish three-three.

Nice, Stel! I’d forgotten this (and it’s a good one too!) Cleo is perfect as the dancing basset with her tutu and color-that-may-not-be-mentioned eyeshadow!
