As long as the Crosbys stick to the costume variety lion, I think we’ll get along famously.

Well, I must say that my tastebuds have been tantalized at the prospect of a Bassetzilla vs. Superbasset smack-down.

I love Bassetzilla’s eyes. They say the eyes are the window to the soul, and now I believe it.

Not having attempted lion impersonation myself, I should not criticize. But the Crosbys are not very convincing. Especially planting vegetables.

    Hi, all….

I guess I’m on time to invite any newbies who wander through, to join us in commenting on

the July 26th  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Tigressy already posted the link to read it on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

My money is on Superbasset, of course.

    Why?

Come on…. has Bassetzilla ever won?

Superbasset starred in movies and TV shows and comic books….

Even had a nice guy alter ego, who looked exactly like him except for (spoiler alert) wearing glasses…

yet was able to have a nice girlfriend, and work at the newspaper, without being recognised.

Bassetzilla had…. um… some fun smashing up a city or two….

and he spawned the dopiest looking monster puppy ever….

which I guess meant at some point he had some female companionship….

though… I hate to say it… she was probably kind of a dog.

He had a few cool fights with other monsters, which he lost.

    Cos he wasn’t a hero, he was a monster….

and he couldn’t wear glasses…. and nobody looked like him…

except maybe this one kid in my 4th grade class…. Randy something….

but nobody even knew it cos…. you know…. Bassetzilla hadn’t been born yet.

Thanks, all you guys, for the concern in yesterday’s comments…. and for reading my late response.

Hope you’re dong well today, Plods.

Thanks Tigressy, for the link (today and yesterday) to Nighthawks’ post on DH….

    and Nighthawks… if you’ll pardon me….

I still recommend, if you know when it ran, linking to the strip on Sherpa…

More likely to get a you a new reader, cos the image alone doesn’t tell people where to read it every day.

Easiest way is to go there and copy the contents of the address bar, including the date….. then just paste it as a link.

I don’t usually reply to the old comments….

but Superfrog was funny, and he’s still around to get the notification.

Who knows…. maybe he’ll come find Cleo.

Farside… I dunno…. I think Superbasset could take that cat…. with one paw behind his back.

The Cliffords should put in a call.

Liverlips…. um…. is this going to end in a…. a…. in a monster barbecue?

    And Dennis, I agree.

The Crosby’s should go on down to StelBel’s Costume Annex, and be properly suited up as imposing beasts of the jungle.

Their current costumes look more suitable (is that a pun?) for a slumber party.

The City should put them in a zoo. That’ll fix them!

And in the audience at the theater, the men are screaming in terror and hiding under the seats. The theater manager is smiling because she knows that all the chewing gum will now be wiped away from under the seats. The wives will not be happy. I can’t wait till the next one where Bassetzilla teams up with Clovis-Rex. Superbasset may have a big problem and will have to call Batbasset for help.

Superbasset will force Bassetzilla back into the lake that created him. (You’d know if you were on the lake in the 60’s)

Thanks for the well wishes. Ms Icepack and I had a good night. Feel okey doke.

    Alright! A cliff hanger!

I loved how Bassetilla howled. Such emotion! Did y’all notice the white tip to Bassetilla’s tail? I guess the green paint is toxic and NH and Stel had to leave a part of Cleo’s body exposed to the air. But wait. That’s a different movie.

Great show, Guys. Can’t wait for the next installment.
