I missed the title on the pencil… I thought you were building a tree house now! :-) When my kids were little we built a freestanding, two story, tree house under one of our trees. Sandbox underneath, swings extended off one side, fire pole, slide, and homemade working ships wheel up top. The lower branches surrounded the top and felt like a different world. I loved going up there and did so all the time! Thank you so much for the memories!!
Hi Melissa, did you really have a tree house? I had one built for my daughter when she was seven. She still speaks fondly of all the time she spent in it. Happy times

Nice. I spent a summer scraping and painting the house. Dad showed me how then stepped back and supervised every so often.

My childhood tree house was a 2×4 nailed in crook of a tree. Loved reading books in that cozy spot.
