Back in the ’70s a popular choice was the red, white and blue rocket pop and if that was not available a nice double grape popsicle. The Slurpee at 7-11 was always good too though my Mom thought they were at waste as they were mostly air if you let one melt and would rather us kids opt for a good old fashioned orange creamsicle with vanilla ice cream which I have to admit is now a favorite of mine too. Miss you Mom……..
I never had the ice cream truck in the neighborhood in CO. Snow cones came by every other day. 10 cents. I would get grape or rainbow, sit on the back porch in heaven. In 67 we moved to Idaho where we lived out in the “boonies.” There were no ice cream trucks, much less snow cones!
