I wonder how true this stereotype is….how many mothers-in-law are monsters as opposed to caring and nurturing people.;D

I can relate Brutus.

My wife’s MIL was a monster. More so in my eyes than my wife’s.

My MIL was nice. More so in my eyes than my wife’s.

When a guy has to say in the same sentence, “I’m having my mother-in-law over and we get along very well.” you just know that they don’t get along very well.

Does Brutus have enough charcoal to do Mother Gargle very well at a cookout?

my MIL was a sweetie for the short time i knew her before she finally completely succumbed to alzheimer’s – the transformation was amazing and since she was still otherwise in good health and ambulatory she managed to cause us no end of grief with the bizarre escapades she got up to before we finally realized what was going on…

she may have a mutual feeling about you.

I have a similar relationship with an ex-girlfriend and it’s love/hate, too.

My MIL “never” liked me but tolerated me because of wife and son she “got” dementia wife and I moved her in I became “primary” caregiver because I LOVE my wife, fast forward to March 13 2021 wife died suddenly and unexpectedly and NOW I am only caregiver for the person who doesn’t like me. Karma can kiss my A$$.

I’m 50/50. My first mother-in-law I really liked so many years back and the second one, I KNOW is giving a headache to Satan and I’m positive that he regrets having her there right now….

My MIL is starting a rotation where she spends 4 months a year at each of her daughters’ house. She starts at our house this weekend.

My MIL did not like me. But, we got along fine. Eight hundred miles across two states helped.

I got along fine with my former in-laws, for the most part. They were not bad people, per se, just annoying.

And loves harassing you and hates it when she’s not there to harass you.
