Children need to spend some time with their dads as well as their moms, My father didn’t know how to interact with kids but as an older child and teen we worked together, or at least started to on a regular basis, He’d start me on a job, then he’d go hang out at the coffee shop for a few hours and leave me to do the work, That was the nature of our relationship until he died when I was 22 and he was 57. My memories of my dad are all working related, while my mother did stuff like chaperoning school field trips, taught me songs from when she was little, and the other fun parental things.

My Dad leaves to work very early. It’s good, because he alwyas comes back for lunchtime and I can spend with him the rest of the afternoon.
