You have to admit, it’s a bright idea…

The fridge light is on

just read that fireflies live for about 2 months and glow from the egg stage until death. their glow alerts predators that they could be toxic. Gods creations are miraculous!

And – if you get tired of string lights you can make really swell rings from them!

Those lights make it easier to find dinner…

And they attract even more food

Getting them synchronized is a major undertaking, though!

Chatham NJ 1940…catching fireflies in a jar. This wonder ended when DDT was sprayed by a tanker truck throughout the neighborhoods to kill mosquitos. Of course this soon stopped since DDT was harmful to humans. How are 81 year old memories still clear, when what I did yesterday.. was it Wednesday?
