Cooked and opened in one operation!

There is a really neat show on called Inside the Factory. I think it’s the Smithsonian channel. The other night they did Baked Beans. Apparently they are eaten for breakfast in Great Britain.

The mouse can use a oxy-acetylene torch, but not an electric can opener?

Took me aback at first since canning started with Napoleon. Then I found out it was using a tin coated iron can that he invented. Merci ! I love learning new things.

I’ve had an original “Speaker USA” P-38 can opener on my keyring since 1977. Not merely a can opener, it’s one of the handiest tools I’ve ever owned. It’s even made of “pre-atomic age” steel.

Just a little nit-pick – Oxy-Acetylene torches usually have two tanks – one for each gas.

The wee lad looks a bit dejected.

Oxy-acetylene needs 2 tanks, not one.

I think we all remember…………beans beans the musical fruit……………………………………..etc.

My goodness, that tank and torch are tiny…

When I was besieged by raccoons, I was sure one was carrying an oxyacetylene torch. But the really scary thing is: they have raccoon lawyers.

Now the mice can open and cook the beans all in one step.

Oxy-acetylene welding is too dangerous. You wanna get yourself a plasma cutter, it will also make a clean cut instead of getting slag into your food.

Fer shur: beans on toast.

Of course there were about 80 years between the tin can and the oxy-acetylene torch. That’s a lot of mouse-lifetimes.

Mice using heavy artillery—who’da thunk it? Good stuff.
