while i was in Virginia Beach last week visiting a friend i walked on the Boardwalk and along the beach. i took some videos of the ocean and the waves coming ashore and then sent them to my friends back home. they loved them; the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore and the long fishing pier were a hit!
Or the ability to turn your head. I recently saw a video taken in Santa Barbara’s beautiful Botanical Gardens. It was mostly centered on the trail ahead. When I go there, I stop and look at the flowers.

The aroma coming from cafes, the sounds, the people, the discovery of a charming shop, et., cannot be conveyed by looking at a video.

It’s much better to watch someone do anything than to actually do something yourself.

One positive of watching videos of people sharing their point of view is you can turn them off.

We watch videos from several people doing “walk arounds” in Japan. I know I’ll never go there, so for me, it’s the next best thing.
