Roger: It was nice to see the kids pitch in with all the Christmas stuff today. Peter strung up lights outside... Paige hung the stockings and wreaths... Jason decorated the tree... Andy: Roger, he made the tree an Ent. Roger: Hey, it's a start.

When most newspapers I read printed this strip, the tree was brown, so it did look more like an ent.

“Ents are a race of beings in J. R. R. Tolkien’s fantasy world Middle-earth who closely resemble trees. They are similar to the talking trees in folklore around the world. Their name is derived from the Old English word for giant.”

Oh i love ents! They r like my favorite thing in lord of the rings
