When I learned that the Japanese keep nearly all the real Wasabi for themselves. So my wife bought me a jar of the real stuff. It’s darker and the taste is subtly different, not as hot.
I think it’s kinda funny, how much of the seaweed for Nori sheets is harvested off the coast of Maine.
The fear of Arsenic in rice grown in other countries is real. But a good rinsing, and a little extra water in the rice cooker, is sufficient.
