All dogs seem to have an internal homing device when it comes to pork chops!

OK, Poncho is not too tall. I have a Dalmation and only the front of the counter is reachable. Did he use a stool?

Your dog can probably smell what’s on the counter even from an adjacent room.

My cousin had a large Airedale named Bear. She made a pizza and placed it on the counter, left the room for a couple of minutes only to return and find it gone. No crumbs or incriminating evidence left behind either.

That is correct, Poncho. No one who has cats leaves the cat food down on the floor!!!!! You poor poor little doggie.

If there was a chair close to the counter, he could have climbed onto the chair and then onto the counter to get the pork chops. I knew of a bichon that did that for a slice of pizza that had been left on the dining room table. The tomato sauce on his normally white mouth gave him away.
