The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. The idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing… …is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it’s just wonderful. And the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe… …is time well spent as far as I am concerned. - Douglas Adams

“I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.”
“We have normality. I repeat, we have normality. Anything you still can’t cope with is therefore your own problem.”
“A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.”
“There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.”
Douglas Adams

Sadly, he only made it to 49; but I suspect he spent his time well.

The purpose of life is for you to discover who you are. You will draw events to you and how you react to those events will help you define who you are and perhaps who you are not. For example when encountering a filthy homeless person on the street, are you wise, kind, and caring? Or are you judgemental, angry, and mean? Sometimes you have to experience who you are not, in order to know that part of you is not a good fit. Personal growth is only possible when you experience both success and failure.
One of our presidential candidates has been the subject of wild adoration even though his actions and speech have been hateful. He recently had a dramatic experience as to the result of hateful speech on others. He survived the experience by the narrowest of margins. It will be interesting to see what lessons he learns from the experience.

Life begins in a baby girl’s ovaries. A newborn girl has all the ova she’ll ever produce in her tiny ovaries at birth. When does a baby boy’s sperm become fertile? Not at birth, surely.
