Reminds me of the movie Poltergeist where, in the movie, they define what a poltergeist is and thus reveal that the story was about a haunting and not a poltergeist at all – so, stupid name for the movie.
I would welcome them too if they want to clean my place for me.
Normally it’s the most you can do to get them to throw the crockery in the general direction of the kitchen.

Apparently, the malevolent kind live in our area. They tend to mess things up; never do any cleaning.
This contradicts the CBS TV series “Ghosts” where they can’t touch anything but just go right through it.
So long as it doesn’t break anything, it’s all good.
