I’m not sure about the desirability of waffles left on the buffet all day, but workplace freebies can be fun! A magazine distribution company where I worked for over 10 years gave out free magazines every few weeks. And when I worked for a market research company in a shopping mall, items remaining after surveys were completed were often given away — at one point, my wife and I didn’t have to buy dish washing liquid for two years.
But my fondest memory is from the early 1970s, when my mother worked for an accountant who had a variety of clients. One was a Mediterranean restaurant, and that made us the first on our block to try pita bread!

Rubbery waffles with lots of syrup. Can’t go wrong with that.

Waffle Warehouse must be a chain that moved into Brown County after 1999, when we left.

The syrup should help break down the day old waffles.

Does this mean Trout’s Mom quit her other “job”? I had the impression she “works” from home — or is that just her hobby?
