One party held over 30 hearings on an issue they knew was false. Subpoenas were issued. All of those were received and answered. Many, many, many hours of testimony later those who answered those subpoenas (and all of them, each and every one, were answered) after being vilified (by mostly those not involved with the hearings in any way) were cleared.
The reThuglicans en masse have stonewalled any and calls to action on the 1/6 sedetion and have denied many subpoenas as an obvious contempt of Congress.
And don’t get me wrong, investigations were needed, subpoenas needed to be issued, and questions needed to be answered. They showed a massive lack of foresight and an unhealthy dose of following the ideology blindly, but that was not criminal. But those continued hearings were a complete waste of congressional time and millions upon millions upon millions of taxpayer dollars.
The riots in 1/6 were seditious acts and the price needs to be paid.
And this is the way the reThuglicans want to treat it…

The first summons I had for jury duty was delivered by a sheriff’s deputy. As he drove up, one wondered “What now?”

I served warrants, and subpoenas but without the fries. Constables handled the summonses. I don’t know if fries were served with them.
