I’m #2 of 5 boys. Growing up, no one could insult me more than my own family, and vice versus…When bullies would try to get my goat, I’d ask, “Is that all you got? My brothers could do better!” Even my mom would insult us kids! I once said, “I’ve got a face only a mother could love” in earshot of my mom, and she replied, “Ya wanna bet!”…So, learn to live with it…learn some good comebacks. Have fun with it. The only thing that really matters…my family loved each other, would stand up for each other, and we did the same with our friends.

Yes, words do hurt, to the point that the sticks and stones part is preferable.

Social media is NOT social and I believe that’s it’s the biggest problem in teen mental health.
