In Merrill Wisconsin they drag race on ice. A full 1/8 mile track, tires have thousands of sheet metal screws from the inside. Everything from daily drivers to Top Alcohol dragsters race there. I’ve been there a few times, it’s wild. No one complaining about the -25f temps.
The men with ice tongs kind of date this strip. An old neighbor of mine who passed a lonnng time ago was the Ice Man and also the Coal Man delivering both to my grandparents home.
