cazar = hunt… casar = marry (un chiste que sólo funciona con homófonos españoles)

GATURRO: The last panel shows a wedding, but apparently the “play on words” joke only works in Spanish.

MARY WORTH: Hey…I’ve lived in the subtropics where coconut trees are plentiful, and the coconuts eventually fall off the trees! If I were Wilbur, I’d explore the island…looking for some coconuts on the ground. Of course he will still have to open the coconut…and that’s not an easy task! Perhaps an SOS on the beach would be a better use of Wilbur’s time and energy right now. Let’s see what tomorrow (the 7-panel Sunday strip) brings……!

PHANTOM: We look in on young Kit. It appears he might rather become a monk (than the next Phantom).

GASOLINE ALLEY: Take a look at yesterday’s strip…and the day before.
