Look for ones that will have a consistent rate of return and go for it. Or get lucky like I did with the dot com boom in the late 1990s – early 2000s. But remember to be prepared to lose it all overnight. That’s the gamble. In the late 1960s my mother invested in a company called Toyo Kogyo. (parent company of Mazda) She hit her target after she calculated the taxes and all and was very happy. And then sad and mad because it took off about 6 months after she sold. Seller’s remorse will kill you sometimes.
