Some poll said that the US employee worked much harder than their EU counterpart. Of course, that was pre-pandemic. Thanks to the pandemic shutdown, US workers have learned that they can get by with less and want a better lifestyle, to boot. Hence, employers, still stuck in their old school rules (see above), are struggling to get staff. This might signal a worker revolt and even a resurgence of unionism.

Thereā€™s a whole series of those posters called the ā€œDemotivational Series.ā€ ā€œLeaders are like eagles. We donā€™t have either around here.ā€ ā€œRetirement: When the company has used you all up.ā€

Love the banana logo on the laptop. Are they cheaper if you buy them by the bunch?

Then, of course, there is the other extreme, sit around stuffing yourself with unhealthy food, that unfortunately can also lead to early death. Iā€™m sure moderation is the secretā€¦.maybe.

True enough: the ā€œwork ethicā€ is the ā€œheart attack ethicā€!

As Aristotle would have it, All Things in Moderationā€¦.
