Way back when, a friend and I drove cross-country for the fun of it. Somewhere in the Tetons, we drove by a town in the middle of nowhere that had a sign saying the population was 50. He looked at me and asked, “Who do they marry?”

I once saw a sign at the entrance of an unincorporated town in Washington state.All inhabitants of the town were listed on the sign.A total of 28 people.

Two more people arriving, two others will have to get out of town.
