Before direct deposit used to go to bank at lunch to cash check. There would be one teller or maybe two and long line/s. I would get a kick seeing about 5 bank employees walking around with papers in their hands looking like they were actually doing something.

Used to walk around carrying a clipboard and a pen and a tape measure. When things were running smoothly and I was bored!
