I guess hoping Sedine would knock some sense into Ellie isn’t going to happen here. She’s going to knock some greasy chicken into the Skippers instead.

A curious thought just occurred to me… what if, during a crucial moment when it seems the Diners have run out of receivers and all seems lost, Ellie thinks, I can rip him a new one later and resurrects her “Al” identity to help Hubbs win the game? If you recall from their somewhat unusual courtship, Ellie actually had some football “chops.” (I do hope this isn’t a potential spoiler.)

Ellie will be donning a uniform, play as “Al” one more time, and catch the winning pass!

Y’know, if Ellie’s there to “reunite this beautiful baby with his evil father,” does that mean she’s turning Li’l Al over to the Hubbs and giving up custody?
