My best friend for many years was a belly dancer who performed at our local coffeehouse. One night she performed “cabaret style” in high heels. On one kick turn, her shoe shot across the room and smashed a ceiling lamp. She didn’t miss a step. :)
Reminds me of the South Park episode where Butters “accidentally kills a bunch of people on two separate occasions while tap-dancing due to his shoe flying off and causes a chain reaction of events which kill people and lead people to kill themselves” (from the website South Park Archives).
