I wonder how RJ reacted when Twinkies were briefly discontinued.

A good friend had had a quadruple bypass a few years prior. He brought his lunch into work one day and of course he had packed about 4 twinkies. At lunchtime he was starting to eat them and I said ‘put those twinkies down!’. And he turned to me, with his cheeks stuffed like a hamster with twinkies, and said ‘Im putting them down as fast as I can’. He was NOT happy when they were briefly discontinued. He said ding dongs and ho-hos just didnt cut it.

Are they the original snack cakes or are they the ones after Hostess died?
