One of the perks of living in a Retirement community is having your taxes done for free!

I took over management of a small business who had the same kind of bookkeeper. Dumped him really quick. He left all our documents in a grocery cart outside our store. We found the books for a church in the files. My mom was a forensic accountant, I’ve seen her spend days finding 3 cents. Not someone to cross. She was comptroller for large rental company. Salesman walked in for a meeting and said get me a coffee, sweetie

He learned where the bear and the buckwheat met.

I worked in 3 different states in the same year and was hoping H&R Blockheads could help find some deductions related to the moves and work as a consultant. Nope, I had to explain why per diem was tax deductible under those conditions (not true any more) along with other things and he cost me more that he saved.

I can’t remember, but I do think that’s the first time I’ve seen Norm’s eyes. What a hoot!
