I once heard my brother’s father-in-law, Bill (not his real name) tell a story about a waiter who wanted a tip. He held his hand out, and Bill shook it. The waiter then explained that he was waiting for a tip, and Bill said “Firefoot in the fourth race”. The waiter still didn’t realize that he wasn’t getting a tip, and explained (as if Bill didn’t understand) that he wanted money. That’s when Bill told him in no uncertain terms that he was a lousy waiter, and that he didn’t deserve, and wouldn’t get, a tip.

Be thankful, Francis that he didn’t give a tip across the chops.

I saw that happen to a guy in a restaurant once. He was very nice about it.
