Did Jordan toast her fellow parachute enthusiasts with “Here’s mud in your eye!” before the jump?

She must have soft landed on something.

If at first you don’t succeed sky diving is not for you.

In that Donkey Kong game, the playable character wasn’t even named Mario, but rather Jumpman; damsel in distress was Pauline instead of Daisy/Peach.

“First platform game to feature a jump mechanic” is pretty arguable. I could be pedantic and point out that Frogger, first released several months earlier, was also a game about navigating platforms through jumping (the fact never specified horizontal 2D), but there’s also likely a number of games which got a small or private release before either of those which would qualify.

I asked my college boyfriend what on earth they meant by calling him Donkey Kong. Apparently it means “that nutty Kong”. It is kind of crazy to steal Mario’s woman.

Donkey Kong was the first platform game with a jumping mechanic? That’s odd. I’ve never heard anyone call a plumber a mechanic before. Maybe Mario was one of those “I’ll do anything for a buck workers” so he was a plumber and a mechanic.?

She was of course much shorter after hitting the ground like that, and she lost her hat.

Take care, may famed Aussie kangaroo Hoppy “GET OUT OF THAT POUCH THIS MINUTE” Cassidord be with you, and gesundheit.

    RIPLEY TIDBIT:

When Cesar Romero played The Joker on the 60’s BATMAN show-

1.)He had never read a Batman comic book.

2.)He refused to shave his mustache,so they justcovered it with makeup. If you look close, you can still see it.

Today it’s hard to picture a platform game without jumping, if you never saw one.

My favorite parachute story was Jack Lucas, who survived both chutes not opening on his first jump. Two weeks later he was jumping out of a plane for his second jump. He was also afraid of heights…

He survived jumping on grenades (got a Congressional Medal of Honor), survived jumping out of a plane without either chute opening, survived a wife hiring a hitman to kill him, but cancer was the final enemy that he couldn’t overcome.https://www.military.com/marine-corps-birthday/badass-of-the-week-jacklyn-h-lucas.html
