    YES, YES you SHOULD see the old ones! Only in RARE cases is the remake better than the original. I REALLY HATE it when classic animated movies are remade with live actors, UGH!

    The 1939 remake of that 1925 version of Wizard of Oz stands up well but this is one original I would recommend watching, even if just for Oliver Hardy’s work. And, it turns out, the 1925 version is a remake of the 1910 movie. The 1980s anime is not bad. But not good.
