In the old days, this was the stereo enthusiast’s dilemma. By the time you could afford the really good gear, you could no longer hear the highest tones. You have to a huge TV to really distinguish between 2K and 4K unless your vision is 20/15 like mine. They are doing it to us because they can make our old gear obsolete and sell us new gear before there is much in the way of programming to make a difference.
