When Columbus made his initial landfall in the Bahamas, he thought it was India thus named the natives there Indians and inexplicably the name stuck.
Why does everything have to be politically correct. You cannot play Cowboys and Indians anymore. What is it now? Give me a break.
There are no Native Americans. A more proper term would be First Americans.
