I had the same problem working at Radio Shack. Trying to get people to spend more, sign them up for credit cards, etc. So glad I was let go from there!
that’s a real problem today…i was fired from last position for telling the truth…i’m a medicare agent and in comparing plans i was telling people the plan they had was a better match for them than our plan…they took me off and said that wasn’t my job, my job was to sell the plan we offered, even if it did double the cost of their prescriptions, and they would loose 7 of their doctors…wouldn’t do that, told them we take an ethics course every 2 years, and they were being completely unethical…it’s all about production, not the customers health
