    Those of us that do have it, do have some control with diet, exercise, taking our medications, etc. The Doctor is just trying to help you to control it better. If the truth hurts, that’s too bad….

    Well, when it’s in your genetic makeup (runs in the family), I could’ve done better earlier in life with my diet, exercise, etc…but I still think I’d end up diabetic, just a matter of “when”…I became diabetic in my 40’s…my mom in her 30’s…my brothers, most in their 40’s…I know what I should be doing, but, eh…can’t seem to motivate myself on a lot of things…so, I let my doctor do the guilt trip without any hard feelings…
