Quickly learned to wake up, get dressed, have breakfast, clean up afterwards and be ready for the workmen at 7:00am. They were very punctual. Never before 7:00 or after but exactly at 7:00. Quiting time was the same, they very punctual in quitting for the day after they had completely cleaned up and put tools away. Not only that but they were excellent and polite. I felt as though I had won the trifecta.
my all-time favorite contractor was the one whose first words to me were, “we’re not starting yet.” it was the first day of the remodeling job and since i was outside when he pulled up i’d gone over just to say good morning. still wish that i’d fired the pr*ck on the spot…
