It’s sad to see your childhood neighborhood go down hill. I went to see my house where I grew up and found the city had razed it. My family was devastated. Evidently, the last owner defaulted on their loan and the bank turned it over to the city and the city doesn’t tolerate empty homes so they razed it. The city doesn’t want to encourage drug hideouts and etc.

Yup … my family white-flighted Milwaukee in 1967. Our kids are now middle-age professionals, and theirs all college graduates.
