I’ve given my three dogs little tiny bites and bits of Hershy candy bar, chocolate cake, Ho Ho’s and they never got sick or worse.
These Choc-drops are made for dogs by the way.
Poisonous is harmful in any amount. Toxic may be beneficial in small amounts, but dangerous in large amounts. Vitamins A, D, E ,& K are toxic in large amounts as they are fat soluble and build up in the fatty tissues. Vitamins C and the B complex are water soluble and excess amounts are merely flushed through the kidneys.
Onions are also bad for both cats and dogs. Garlic is bad for cats, but not for dogs.
The average large dog, like a Lab, would probably not die unless fed a pound of chocolate, whereas a small dog could not stand a Hershey bar.
Um, actually I’d heard chocolate causes cancer in dogs, so it’s not that a lot will kill a small dog in one does per se- it’s that if you feed any dog any kind of amount over a long period of time it will make it sick.

Chocolate is poisonous for dogs.

It’s not poisonous; it’s toxic. And since these seem to be made for dogs, I’m sure they’re flavored with carob.

Just don’t give your three dogs a lot of chocolate, and no grapes or raisins, either. They can cause kidney damage if enough are ingested.

Dog’s should not be given chocolate - it can kill them!
