One would think that, Raymond could have sniffed out, Jonas as well.

If you were that small, would you dare wear something bacon-scented around Louie?

We don’t get it, what’s coming out of the ground…….Jonas?

Yum that bacon scent coming up from the leaves…Louie can smell it a mile away, if not more!!

Since the first panel is talking about the plane, I don’t think it’s quite clear if the “emanations” are the crashed plane, or the pleasantly-scented pilot…
