Trying to sow peace is not a waste of time?

Religion: one of the greatest causes of war.

I wish that separation of church and state were more common. If more religious leaders were true to the core beliefs of their faith instead of allying themselves with oligarchs, religion would be less odious and even less dangerous.

The white rider is Jesus in some people’s view the one who can kill with his sword tongue that the Republicans just love that incarnation as a warrior.

I’m confused. Does anyone know the respective representations of the horsemen here from left to right?

The horses are labeled in accordance with Revelations 6. From left to right, their riders are Death (skeleton w/scythe), Famine (gaunt figure), Pestilence (eerie glow) and finally War (bloody sword). The only one actually named in the Apocalypse is Death — thanatos in Greek, the Pale Rider. In terms of cause and effect, the riders to the right — War, Pestilence, and Famine — individually or together lead to Death.

There are many interpretations of what the Horsemen stand for and what colors and symbols identify them. I’ve tried to stick to what I see in Marrin’s drawing. If anyone has better eyesight or more background, please add your comments.
