In some parts of the music world, Agnes already has it made.

There are numerous “musicians” who have no talent at all.

“Guitar Bob” of the “Andy Capp” strip is a prime example.

If a couple of picks and a cool hat were all it took to be a world class guitar player, I’d probably still be unable to play. I don’t have any cool hats.

My wife did that. Starting at about age 58 she got a guitar and, with at least 5-6 hours of practice per day, taught herself how to play. Now she plays professionally. She has two two cool hats and a box of picks.

“Which two picks?”

“The ones I just told you about.”

“But what are they?”

“Picks!”

“I know that, but who are they?”

“Who? I don’t know.”

Given the quality of some of today’s music.. Agnes might just succeed and still have a hat and one pick left over.
