I have been reading for far too long now of affie’s lack of show here. On the phone with Number Three this past Sunday I volunteered to write to his family to ask of his whereabouts. She gave me Arthur and Alex’s Fb page addresses. As of this writing it has been about ten minutes since I messaged them.

The letter:

Hello, Arthur/Alex. I am Gordon Heavern of Boulder, Colorado USA. I know your dad, Tony, from the Andy Capp cartoon at Gocomics. Everyday, shortly after a new day’s strip comes up, he would make his remarks on the day’s offering and usually give little slices of life from your part of the world and sometimes would post photo links. We enjoyed seeing what he and Connie were up to and Bella, the cat. We have also been made aware of the “terror” that is Typhoon Timmy and of his two boys. I am contacting you as one of his very favorite co posters, Annelise Hamilton (Number Three), is rather shy about doing so citing that she does not want to intrude on your lives. I on the other hand have no compunction. LOL ! There has been an ongoing concern and curiosity on “affie’s” non presence at the forum for some long time now. I can’t help but notice the very noticeable absence of Eldo {all the gibberish}… from here and Ten Cats. I hope he’s not on a missing affie sympathy strike.
