    Not ending a sentence with a preposition is a Romance language. (Latin based) rule. English is Germanic based.

    Or as Chuchill said about the rule “That is something up which with I will not put.” Proving his point about the absurdity of the rule.

    It is not a mistake. Of course you may end a sentence with a preposition. Just not a redundant one such as, “Where is the firehouse at.”
