I can’t laugh too hard at Luann’s attempt. I once bought a birthday card that said “5 years” for a great nephew who was actually turning 6, and had no time to go back to the store. So I made a (quite obvious) correction like Luann did here. Kiddo didn’t care; he was only interested in the enclosed money, lol.
Worst mistake re gifts that I ever made was one year when I sent a Christmas gift to one of hubby’s great nephews with the wrong NAME! Funniest thing was, his mom didn’t even notice until I apologized! (She was interested in the enclosed money, too, as in my post above, lol).
Luann has to send them. It would be really original and it’s funny to think how whoever receives them might think it’s a huge postal delay. In the end it’s true, it’s never too late.
Mom was president of the Procrastinators Society. She was barred for sending Christmas Cards on time. They had to reinstate her when they were told the cards were from 1974.

Nothing wrong with using last year’s cards, as long as the year doesn’t show!
