Okay, see, the guy deserves to be conked.
Excellent plot advancement for a Sunday.
Now let’s see if Sage escapes his prison over in Brenda Starr. Two escapes in one day. It’s too much to hope for, but not too much to ask.
Ollie is now (or should I say again) a murderer.
I was really hoping that Ollie would spend another 2 or 3 weeks getting the poop beat out of him, then killed, slowly and painfully.
Fw what is your problem Warbucks is self made man a good American and a philanthropist, he also treats his employees well. I know in the real world he should probably go to the proper authorities instead of fighting them himself but that is part of the willing suspension of disbelief of fiction. His captors are ruthless criminals, mobsters, murderers, people who profit by exploiting the innocent, he has never hurt anyone who did not have it coming. It’s a statement about how the justice system doesn’t do enough to fight criminals. Annie once said something like when crooks use pull and money to get off then the only way to get them punished is for honest men like Warbucks to use pull and money and gunmen too and beat them at their own game.
Yes, ecaacebackwards, we’re quite aware that “Annie” takes place in a world where the ultra-rich work tirelessly with the government to protect Americans. That is why it is called “fiction”.

I’m shocked, shocked to find that a Sunday strip actually advanced the plot! Hope Ollie didn’t forget his beloved nail!

“At once, his muddled head begins to clear.” All he needed to do was hurt someone. Ah, the American capitalist.

I don’t think you can be ‘conked’ with a block of concrete or granite or whatever. Warbucks crushed the happy jailer’s skull.

“All he needed to do was hurt someone.”
And, of course, get hold of a gun.

Remember, he’s sick, starving, and half dead. Not a lot of downward thrust. Jailer’s still alive.

I won’t think you can get your skull crushed and say, “Oof.”
