Upon gazing on the the thermometer I saw 34 degrees. Winds are predicted, 20 to 30 mph. A high of 48, 48, really! Rain, just a fun filled day. (^.^)The only biggie is the bottom is suppose to fall out of the thermometer by evening leading to very slippery conditions. Now I’m not shore if we are getting this little treat, I have the feeling it’ll mostly south of us. Fingers crossed.
Christmas Eve we are having a candle light service at church. With the service on Saturday night we are not having service Sunday and we’ll be having our next Sunday go to meeting next year. (^.^)Happy day Vagabonds, may the Lord bless you and keep you.ttfn
Yesterday I just plain forgot to read the comics. I’m down to two only, including this one and somehow I just skipped over that part of my morning.
We had our Thursday date night at Mimi’s Cafe, a French bistro. We hadn’t been there in years, but it’s just as good as I remember.
I did all my holiday meal shopping on Wednesday when I picked up the Honey Baked ham. I also got a Honey Baked turkey breast – pre-sliced like their hams – packaged it in small amounts and froze most of it for future use. I’ll do the same with the ham after dinner on Sunday. They had a special on the website for both for a lower price. Plus I got 5% off by picking it up on Wednesday instead of waiting until today or tomorrow. You have to make an appointment to pick it up so they don’t get so overwhelmed.
One more time we’ve changed our minds about the paint colors. We’re still keeping the basic color that will be on the walls and fences, but we’ve decided to go with a trim color of charcoal grey instead of the white. The painters did a sample of what it will look like on the front of my home and it looks amazing and dramatic. We’ll have to wait until the week of March 15th before the rest of the building will be done. They have already started painting the perimeter walls.
Today I get to walk around the project and figure out how many satellite dishes there are here. The painters have offered to remove the non-operative ones (like mine) for free and we need to determine which ones they can take down.
It’s a beautiful morning here. The tree outside my window is a pine, so it doesn’t lose its leaves. It’s a huge thing! We’re looking at a high of 62 today and 66 on Christmas Day if you can believe it. That’s supposed to be the highest temp on Dec. 25th ever recorded in the Las Vegas Valley.
