    I remember once sharing our table at a restaurant with another couple. The restaurant was newly opening and they were giving away free meals. They were very friendly and we had a good time.

    Used to travel a lot for business. Boston had/has a restaurant next to Faneuil Hall where the dining arrangement was long tables. You were sitting with other people no option. Long time ago forget the name.Been other places with similar arrangements.Also wasn’t unusual at hotel restaurants where people would ask if they could join me.No complaints. Don’t know if things are different currently.
