Satchel is a national treasure and should be handled with kid gloves.

Satch would have needed to draw an inference from that, and I’m not sure he can draw anything at all.

Rob resorting to French Poodle jokes , , , , but Satchel is Canadian, which is about a fifth French. So at least he should have wagged his tail at the explanation.

No need to ever worry that Satchel might think you’re dumb.

I don’t get it.

Should I resent the inference that a Lab who is part-Canadian is lacking in intelligence? Is this countryism?

I used to consider my jokes as an impromptu “intelligence test”. That’s before I found out that some women (and probably men, as well) just know where the laugh should go, even when they don’t get the joke.

“Hedgehog Day” … A comedy about every day being different and the protagonist tries desperately to make them all the same …!
