My sister, parents and I all kept every penny we ever received for 20+ years and kept them in jars. When they moved, they told me I could have the jars if I’d just deal with them. We had over $380 in pennies and I broke the change machine trying to cash them all in.
A Diet Coke from the vending machine at work is 65 nickels :-)
I’m working my way through the change, getting rid of the nickels first. As a plus I don’t have to deal with finicky bill scanners or worry about credit card skimmers.
Back in college, my sister kept change in an enormous glass jar. We had a burglar break in and it’s obvious they thought about stealing the jar – it was moved – but they didn’t actually take it. I assume it’s because the thing weighed about 40 pounds.
She and her fiancé later rolled them and deposited the money. It took days.

I have a big zip lock with a lot of change in it, nowhere near that big
It’s about time to cash it in, there’s a little over $250 in there and it is getting heavy

My bank would be pleased to meet you. The coin machine is waiting. Now, if they’d only pay a premium.

I kind of miss sorting my change into coin wrappers now that I think back about it.
