Somewhere in India are sweatshops of “headhunters” going through Linked-In resume’s and job boards and contacting everyone with a matching word in their resume. When I was job hunting I’d get three or four of them calling and leaving e-mail contacts for the same position. It took a while before I realized that all they did was submit my resume looking for a finder’s fee, they weren’t hired headhunters and they weren’t even advocates.
